Consecutive Interpreting Service

Consecutive Interpreting    refers to an interpreter taking notes while listening to the original speech in a conference room. In a sign that the speaker stops for interpretation, the interpreter, as if he was delivering a speech, should rephrase the entire original message in target language in a clear, natural, accurate and complete manner. A consecutive interpreter in a conference is required to listen to a 5 up to 15 minutes' talk before using good speech skills to render it completely and accurately.

Consecutive Interpreting is the most popular type of interpreting as it does not require any specialist equipment or complex planning. It is also considerably cheaper than Simultaneous Interpreting.

Your speaker delivers a few sentences and then pauses whilst the Consecutive Interpreter repeats what has just been said in the target language. The Consecutive Interpreter may interpret for the whole group or, as is becoming increasingly common, sit next to an individual and whisper what has just been said. Consecutive Interpreting is not done in real-time.

Loveconf is the first corporation in China engaged in simultaneous interpreting, with over 100 simultaneous interpreters in all major cities across China. Starting with English-Chinese SI service, we have developed our service in more languages including Japanese-Chinese, Korean-Chinese, Russian-Chinese, French-Chinese and German-Chinese. By 2009, we've been involved in over 100 conferences, followed by a double to more than 200 by 2010, which includes the Fourth World Urban Forum in Nanjing, the Eighteenth International Federation of Translators (FIT) World Congress, Microsoft Partner Conference and the Fifth China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit. We've set up an interpreter pool which is outstanding enough to cover different fields and languages.

Suggestion: Have you considered conducting your meeting via teleconference or video conference as opposed to face to face? Consecutive Interpreting lends itself very well to these formats and can result in dramatic savings in cost and executive downtime. Loveconf Translations will be pleased to arrange your teleconference, no specialist equipment is required.
